While I was in Romania, I was asked by a young Singer friend of mine (Sheridan Archbold) if I would like go to Chicago to collaborate together during a prime time slot at Festa Italiana on Taylor Street. That friend, being the very talented and musically awarded Sheridan Archbold , and of course his parents. we where more than pleased to perform at the Chicago Italian Festival.
We had taken the route many times before for competitions all over the country, events down that way, and it also coincided with our route to Gettysburg, PA. Our family's favorite vacation spot. Mr. & Mrs. Archbold asked us to stay in their household ~ A classic Russian household ~ which my Dad was used to from traveling to Russia every year. However for me it was a first.
Upon arriving Mrs. Archbold was there to greet us with Sheridan, his two brothers - Fulton and 'Edgeorge' were at school. We talked and upon the other siblings and Mr. Archbold's return home we ate a true 'natural Russian' style dinner - all fresh and from their own garden. After dinner, we all went outside for a nice bonfire. During which my Dad talked with Sheridan's parents, and the boys and I ran around the backyard, racing each other in the pitch black. To be honest, I did win most of the races we had, but all of the boys gave me a run for my money. (In case the boys happen to read this article, "Admit it, you were beaten. But you fought well !")
As our last piece we sang "Time To Say Goodbye" as a duet, with Sheridan singing Sarah Brightman's part, and me singing Andrea Bocelli's part, with both of us singing together at the end. I don't think the crowd was expecting that because they definitely showed their appreciation.
What the Director of Entertainment for the 2013 Festa Italiana (Taylor Street Chicago), said about Anastasia's and Sheridan’s performance:
"What we discovered on the event day was beyond our expectations. The two young talents were indeed talented, and wowed our audiences for that evening. The set was filled with Italian Opera classics that kept the audience wanting more. From our sound team, to the event staff, we were all delighted to have worked with the duo this year. We hope to include them in our roster of Italian entertainment next year."
We had a great time and we went out for pizza afterward at an Italian restaurant located behind the main stage. (There were multiple stages with different kinds of music at each, but according the the audience, as this being an Italian Festival - most of the people attending the festival were at our stage).
We went back to the Archbold's house and Sheridan and I fell asleep as soon as we got back.

The next morning Sheridan and I messed around, talked, and my Dad talked with Mr. and Mrs. Archbold for an hour or so. Mrs. Archbold and I went shopping together, we looked at plants and garden decorations, and she was kind enough to buy my Dad and I a pizza and orange juice for the trip home. After getting back to the Archbold residence and packing up my Dad and I said our goodbyes to them all and we will most likely be going back next year.
