Anastasia and her sister helped one of their mares give birth last night, making the third foal this year. According to Anastasia, it was very enjoyable (although she must have been tired staying up until 5am!). Here are some pictures of the three new horses born this year:
1) "This first one is of the first born this year.
It is a black girl. The barn managers get along best with this one, they like her better than the others too. Tati and I will help train this one, but the barn managers like her best so they will do the majority of it."- Anastasia Lee
2) "Next is the second born.
It is a black boy. Tatiana gets along best with this one, and it seems to cling to her alot, like a second Mommy. Tati would end up training this one. It is really sweet, they all are but this one is the sweetest and nicest yet."- Anastasia
3) "Next is the new born. The one born on May Day. It was born right before midnight. (Last Night).
It is a medium bay (a medium brown body, and a black tail and mane.) girl. In the first picture Tati is on the left and I am on the right. I get along best with this one and I like it the best, but my sister doesn't like it, and my parents don't favor it, it is bay and they wanted black or gray, but you can't really be picky. I like it, and it is my favorite of the year. I am going to make sure it is my the main horse I train. You would think the baby isn't strong, as it is only like 12-15 hours old, but let me tell you it packs a punch. It kicked me in the knee cap while it was trying to stand up and at that time it was only 2 hours old.
Normally you start training the horses right after weaning time, like when they are 6 months old, but the babies from last year are almost yearlings now and we are just starting training them."- Anastasia
